Who we are

This website is operated by Xtramile Cleaning Services (also known as Xtra-Mile Cleaning Services Inc), a commercial and residential cleaning company serving St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. You can reach us at xtramilecleaning@yahoo.com or (709) 697-9436.

Information you give us

If you use the estimate request form on our Contact page, we receive the details you enter: your name, email address, optional phone number, whether your enquiry is personal or business, and your message. We use this only to respond to your request and to provide and manage our services. The form sends this information to us by email. If you contact us by phone, text or email instead, we receive whatever details you choose to share.

If you pay through our Pay Online page, you are taken to Square, which collects and processes your payment details under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your card number.

Website analytics and cookies

With your permission, we use PostHog, an analytics service, to understand how visitors use this website so we can improve it. When you click Accept on our cookie notice, PostHog may use cookies or similar browser storage and collect information such as the pages you view, how you click and scroll, the type of browser and device you use, the website you came from, and your approximate location based on your IP address. It also records some actions such as clicking a phone or email link, playing a video, or submitting the estimate form (we record that the form was submitted, not what you typed).

If you click Decline, analytics stay switched off. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. Our analytics data is processed by PostHog on servers in the United States.

The site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests files from Google's servers and your IP address is visible to Google when you visit.

How we use information

• To reply to estimate requests and enquiries.
• To schedule, provide and invoice cleaning services.
• To understand and improve how this website works (analytics, only with your permission).

We do not sell your personal information.

Who else sees it

We use service providers to run this website and handle the information described above, including PostHog (analytics), Square (payments), Cloudflare (website hosting and email delivery for the contact form) and our email provider. They process information on our behalf or under their own privacy policies. Links to Facebook and LinkedIn take you to those sites, which have their own policies.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and client information for as long as we need it to respond to you, provide our services and meet our legal and accounting obligations. Analytics data is kept according to our PostHog settings.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it where we are able to, and you can withdraw your consent to analytics at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
